Selbu Modern w wersji fioletowej gotowy. Zrobiony na żyłce na drutach nr 3 z wełnianej włóczki Kashmir, produkowanej przez panią Ivanę Kucharikovą z Czech (poza adresem to jedyna informacja o producencie na opakowaniu). Biały trochę zdominował wzór, myślałam, że efekt będzie bardziej fioletowy. Nieważne.
Czy już mówiłam, że jestem zachwycona tą włóczką? Jest cienka, ale nie za bardzo, mocna i miękka, i co prawda mógłby być większy wybór kolorów (na przykład czerwony...), ale poza tym jest świetna.
The purple Selbu Modern is here. Made on circular needles size 3, of Kashmir – a wool yarn produced by Ivana Kucharikova in the Czech Republic (that’s the only information about the producer the batch has, plus an address). The white turned out a bit overwhelming, I thought the outcome would be more purple. Never mind.
Did I already mention how much I love this yarn? It’s fine but not too fine, strong and soft, and yes, there could be more colours to choose from (like red...) but otherwise it’s great.
Sam wzór jest bardzo przyjemny i niezbyt trudny. Sztrikując, splatałam ze sobą nitki (nie mam pojęcia jak to się nazywa), ale gdyby tego nie robić i po prostu puszczać je luzem z tyłu robótki, to pewnie byłoby szybciej. Początkowo plan zakładał zrobienie wersji fioletowej dla koleżnaki, która przyjeżdża w piątek, sprawdzenie rozmiaru i zrobienie wersji zielonej dla mnie. Ale zmieniłam plany. Za bardzo się znużyłam, żeby robić jeszcze jeden beret, trwałoby to chyba całe wieki. Rozmiar jest w porządku, nawet się boję, że za bardzo naciągnęłam i na koleżankę będzie za duży, ale po prostu potrzebuję odmiany. Zielona włóczka czeka, więc pewnie zrobię drugi beret, ale według innego modelu.
The pattern itself is very nice and not very difficult. I weaved the two yarns together while knitting (no idea what the name for that is) but it’s probably much faster if you just knit it stranded. The original plan was to knit a purple version for a friend (she’s coming on Friday), check it for size and then knit a green version for myself. But I’ve changed my plans. I’m tired enough of the pattern to make another beret like that, it would probably take ages. The size is fine, I may have even stretched it too much to fit my friends head (I hope not), but I simply need something different. The green yarn is there, waiting, so I’ll probably make another beret but using a different pattern.

Now on to reknitting the lace collar of my lovely sweater.
