Tylko jeden | Just one
Ledwo wezmę druty do ręki, zaraz czuję w brzuchu te wszystkie nerwy.
Let me share something with you: the purple sweater I’m knitting is definitely not an easy and relaxing thing. Quite the contrary: I’ve been feeling rather nervous about it ever since I’ve cast on. I take the needles in my hands and immediately I can sense all this nervousness in my stomach.
Dlaczego?
Why? Because I’ve got only 250 grams of this lovely purple cotton, and there won’t be more because that was as much as the shop had left. To put it bluntly: I might run out of yarn somewhere on the neckline.

My Mom’s cardigan took six skeins to make. I figured that, as mine would be a little smaller, five should be just enough. Time will prove if I was right. The good news for today is that, just as I had hoped, one sleeve uses up one skein, there’s even some two metres left which I could use for the seaming. There is hope!

Do wiosny | Until spring
One thing I’ve forgotten about last time is the abundance of purples and violets in September.
I was planting hyacinth bulbs yesterday so that they bloom in the spring. One is purple, the other violet, and the last one pink. I can already see them in those white pots, standing on the window ledge.
I was planting them and it made me think of the sweater I’m knitting. It will be short, with ¾ length sleeves (of course!), and made of cotton. Will I get to wear it this year or will it be like the hyacinths – lying in the darkness of the wardrobe, waiting for the spring to come?

In completely different news, I’ve found (via Ravelry) a most unusual giveaway. If I lived somewhere in the country, I wouldn’t hesitate a minute!
